Therapy
Therapy is a collaborative process that helps you understand yourself more deeply, work through emotional difficulties, and create lasting change.
Finding the right therapist matters. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what's wrong or what you want to change. Sometimes figuring that out is part of the work.
I bring curiosity, honesty, warmth, and perspective to the room, and I want you to feel comfortable bringing your whole self. Together, we'll explore what's happening in your life, what may be keeping you stuck, and what you would like to be different.
Therapy is a collaborative process. I'll ask questions, offer perspective, challenge you when it may be helpful, and work with you toward greater understanding and meaningful change.
"You can come as you are. We can figure out the rest together."
"We can understand what shaped us without letting it decide who we become."
My Approach
How I Approach Therapy
Therapy is about more than managing symptoms or getting through a difficult moment. I'm interested not only in what is happening in your life now, but in understanding how you got here. The ways we learn to cope, protect ourselves, connect with others, and make sense of who we are often have histories. Sometimes patterns that once helped us navigate our lives are the very patterns that eventually begin to limit us. My approach is relational, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that our experiences and relationships shape who we become. Together, we'll explore those patterns, make connections between your past and what is happening in your life today, and consider what you may be ready to change. For me, therapy isn't just about feeling better, although that certainly matters. It's also about understanding yourself more fully, having more choice in how you respond to your life, and moving toward a life that feels more authentic and more your own.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps you identify and reshape negative thought patterns that drive difficult emotions and behaviors. It's a practical, goal-oriented approach that gives you concrete tools to feel better and respond to life's challenges more effectively.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps you make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while taking meaningful action toward the life you want to live.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Psychodynamic therapy explores how past experiences and unconscious patterns influence your present relationships, emotions, and choices.
Logotherapy
Logotherapy focuses on finding meaning and purpose, especially during times of suffering, uncertainty, or major life change.
Life Transitions
Life Transitions Are an Inevitable Part of the Human Experience
Relationship Changes
Divorce, separation, marriage, or shifting dynamics with family and friends — relationship transitions can shake the foundation of who we are and how we see ourselves.
Career Shifts
Job loss, retirement, a new role, or a complete change of direction — our work is deeply tied to our identity, and transitions here can bring both grief and possibility.
Health Challenges
A diagnosis, chronic illness, or recovery can alter how you experience your body, your future, and your sense of control. Therapy offers a space to process what that means for you.
Mid-Life
Mid-life often brings a reckoning — with choices made, paths not taken, and questions about meaning and purpose. It can be disorienting, and also a powerful invitation to grow.
Loss
Grief is not only about death. Loss of a relationship, a role, a dream, or a version of yourself all deserve space and care. You do not have to carry it alone.
New Beginnings
Even welcome change can be unsettling. Starting over — in any form — asks us to step into the unknown. Therapy can help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Support for Cancer Survivors
A cancer diagnosis can change everything. As both a psychotherapist and cancer survivor, I understand that the emotional impact of cancer doesn't necessarily end when treatment does. I offer a compassionate space to process what you've been through, navigate uncertainty, and make sense of who you are and what matters to you now.
